We went there while on vacation.  Soup was very good, Salad and dressing was amazing.  We had shrimp and chicken.  The portions were huge.  All the food was very good.  The chef was very good and quick.

We have gyoza(sp) and spring rolls that were very good.  We would go back again when in the area.

Not sure where to begin. All I can say is that this place is terrible. I have never actually written a post before paying the check.

Server was infrequent and hardly seen after initial drink orders.

The Hibachi Chef had to be new, as he didn't get to our vegetables until after our meats and proteins were already eaten.

The chef also used more oil and teriyaki sauce that all the food was dark brown, like Hot Chocolate brown, and it was the most disturbing thing I ever seen on a Hibachi Grill, almost to a concerning point as to where the entire grill was covered in black sludge.

And on top of the that, the grill was short circuiting where the lights were flickering on and off.

And to cap off the evening, as The Chef was cleaning the Grill, he splashed two of our party's arms with hot water and grease.

The food was terrible, the experience was terrible, and this place needs to be inspected or shut down.

    Super disappointing.

Portions, especially for carbs, are quite generous, the hibachi chef looks like he's having a good time (or he's bored and hiding it well), and even the scallops are quite decent.

    Price isn't bad either.

Atmosphere is still decent but is starting to fade, not much of a weekday dinner crowd, service is best described as unremarkable-- part of me wants to say it was good, but honestly I can't remember a thing about it.

Fundamentally... that adds up to pretty average. Maybe you could stretch it to 3.5*, but just not enough stands out to earn a higher rating.

    ---- NOOO SUSHI

+ People thought the food was edible
    + Steak temp correct

    - No ginger dressing so they put 'orange tinted ranch' on the salad
    - No miso soup, instead served a tri-animal broth?
    - Rice and noodles again lacked flavor, very bland, at least not super salty this time
    - Steak, shrimp, and chicken bland, not memorable
    - NO SUSHI!
    - Tempura bland, veg hard and raw, $12 for 9 pc tempura
    - Asked for fried rice on the side, no egg, made in back, regular sticky rice with soy poured on it
    - Calamari fake chewy bland pressed 'product' covered in bland, soggy tempura

Another disappointing visit to Hokkaido Steakhouse.  I told my SO it was a bad idea but he insisted for quick, local hibachi.  That will be our last visit and I won't let him forget next time he suggests it.

I don't eat animal and was expecting to be able to enjoy at least a small salad, some rice, and sushi.  BUT THERE'S NO SUSHI.  They can't even make a ginger salad right and who the hell knows why they don't have miso soup.  They served a chicken/cow/pig (iirc) broth with like one soggy crispy noodle in it.  I ordered the tempura MEAL and was given absolutely tiny onions.  Like I literally don't know how they managed to get such a thin ring of onion.  In my picture you can see it under the pile.  My upcharged fried rice (with maybe 5 pieces of seasoning veg) aka soy sauce on white rice was a meager serving as well.

And this isn't just us.  The other two couples at our table complained of the small portions, weird soup, wrong sauce, wrong and bad 'orange tinted ranch', and bland food.

I have zero idea how this place has good reviews.  None of those people have tastebuds, apparently.

Food was great, service was a little slow but not big deal.  They were allergy friendly which is very important to me.  I would definitely go back if I'm ever in the area again.
